PLUS ADVISES HIGHWAY USERS TO PLAN AHEAD THIS DEEPAVALI AS DAILY TRAFFIC IS EXPECTED TO REACH 2.24 MILLION VEHICLES
Petaling Jaya, 5 November 2026: PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) anticipates up to 2.24 million vehicles daily across its highway network during peak travel days for Deepavali on 8 November 2026 and the school holidays from 7 to 10 November 2026.
FLASH FLOOD: BOTH BOUNDS OF THE NEW KLANG VALLEY EXPRESSWAY (NKVE) BETWEEN SHAH ALAM AND SETIA ALAM (KM8.7 – KM9.3) REOPENS TO ALL VEHICLES
Petaling Jaya, 4 November 2026: PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) confirms that both bounds of the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) between Setia Alam and Shah Alam (KM8.7 – KM9.3) have been reopened following a temporary closure early this morning due to a flash flood.
FLASH FLOOD: TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BOTH BOUNDS OF THE NEW KLANG VALLEY EXPRESSWAY (NKVE) BETWEEN SHAH ALAM AND SETIA ALAM (KM9.1 – KM9.4) TO ALL VEHICLES
Petaling Jaya, 2 November 2026:- PLUS Malaysia Berhad confirms that traffic on both bounds along Setia Alam to Shah Alam (KM9.1 – KM9.4) of the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) is currently impassable and has been temporarily closed to all vehicles following a flash flood reported at approximately 6.20pm today, following continuous heavy rainfall in the area.
EMERGENCY SIMULATION EXERCISE STRENGTHENS EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND RESCUE TEAM COORDINATION ON THE HIGHWAY
Petaling Jaya, 21 October 2026:- PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS), with collaboration of various strategic safety agencies, organized an emergency simulation exercise on the Butterworth-Kulim Expressway (BKE), involving the stretch from Kubang Semang to Lunas (Eastbound) between KM16.7 and KM17.7 today.
TRAFFIC DIVERSION ON BKE HIGHWAY, (KUBANG SEMANG-LUNAS) FOR EMERGENCY SIMULATION EXERCISE ON 21 OCTOBER 2026
Petaling Jaya, 19 October 2026:- PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) would like to inform that highway users traveling on the Butterworth-Kulim Expressway (BKE) from the westbound direction (Butterworth/Kubang Semang) towards the eastbound direction (Lunas) between KM16.7 and KM17.7 will be diverted through the Penanti Rest and Service Area (R&R) (Eastbound).
PLUS TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE ROAD SHOULDER NEAR BANGI TOLL PLAZA FOR WIDENING WORKS
Petaling Jaya, 9 October 2026:- In line with its ongoing commitment to enhancing the safety and convenience of highway customers, PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) will temporarily close the road shoulder after the exit at the Bangi Toll Plaza (towards Bandar Baru Bangi) to facilitate road widening works at the location. The road widening works are expected to take approximately eight (8) months and are scheduled to commence on 9 October 2026 and be completed by 28 June 2027.
