PLUS R&Rs: STAYING OPEN TO SERVE HIGHWAY CUSTOMERS Over 600 Resilient Local F&B Entrepreneurs’ to care for you on your journey

 PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) anticipates an increase in highway traffic travel during the upcoming period following the recent announcement by the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani, that interstate travels for work, medical, educational and emergencies purposes are allowed, subject to the permissible conditions by the Authorities.

“We remain committed to providing our customers a safe and comfortable travel experience during these challenging times. Our PLUS R&R businesses continues to remain open 24-hours (subject to local authorities’ directives) and all our 600 local entrepreneurs at our R&Rs are ever ready to serve the highway customers,” assured Syed Mohammed Idid Syed Ahmed Idid, PLUS Head of Strategic Stakeholder Engagement.

“This is in line with our brand promise of ‘Taking Good Care of you (our highway customer) every step of the way’ and we strongly advise them to also take a break every two hours journey to refresh, rejuvenate and to enjoy a hot meal or use the public facilities at the rest and service areas (R&R) along our highways. There is a wide array of choices and tasty offerings available as well as hot and refreshing beverages to keep one hydrated from our 29 R&Rs, 50 lay-bys, and Overhead Bridge Restaurants (OBR)," he added.

 According to Hew Yen Chen, who sells chicken rice and wantan mee at the Nilai (Southbound) Lay-by, “In conjunction with Ramadan, we are happy to assist highway customers and serve them well with our special delicacies, hot and fresh chicken rice and wantan mee to cater your craving during iftar at our outlet.”

Meanwhile, Norhasidah Sahal who runs a convenience store at the Pagoh R&R (Northbound) said, “We are also pleased to invite highway customers to stop by at our R&Rs during their journey to support the local business and buy some local products. They can have our local products varieties of ‘kerepek’ and malay traditional delicacies either for souvenirs or having the food ready while travelling on the highway.”

“Highway customers have the choice to either dine-in or takeaway by using pre-order function which are available at 21 selected R&Rs enabling highway customers to comfortably place their orders earlier via the PLUS App. You may download the free PLUS Apps for details and view the Pre-Order offers,” Syed explained.

“Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, PLUS is highly cognizant of the needs of its highway customers and will continue to provide the highest level of service while supporting our local entrepreneurs in alleviating the impact of Covid-19, so that they are able sustain their F&B operations. We not only assist them by promoting their products to highway customers but more importantly we provide business continuity support," Syed Idid concluded.

 PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) menjangka terdapat peningkatan jumlah kenderaan di lebuh raya kendalian PLUS dalam tempoh akan datang susulan pengumuman oleh Timbalan Ketua Polis Negara, Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani mengenai kebenaran pergerakan rentas negeri membabitkan tujuan kerja, perubatan, pendidikan dan kecemasan, tertakluk kepada syarat oleh pihak berkuasa.

“Kami akan terus komited untuk memastikan keselamatan dan keselesaan pelanggan terutama bagi mereka yang perlu melakukan perjalanan dalam tempoh terbabit. Kawasan rehat dan rawat (R&R) PLUS terus beroperasi seperti biasa 24-jam sehari (tertakluk kepada arahan Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan) dan seramai 600 usahawan tempatan di R&R kami bersedia memberikan perkhidmatan terbaik di sepanjang perjalanan anda,” jelas Syed Mohammed Idid Syed Ahmed Idid, Ketua Perhubungan Libat Urus Strategik PLUS.

Selari dengan matlamat utama PLUS, “Kami menjaga pelanggan di sepanjang perjalanan’, kami menasihatkan pelanggan lebuh raya untuk mendapatkan rehat setiap dua jam perjalanan untuk menyegarkan diri, menikmati juadah atau menggunakan kemudahan di R&R kami. Terdapat pelbagai pilihan makanan dan minuman yang enak dan menyegarkan yang disediakan di 29 R&R, 50 hentian sebelah dan restoran jejantas (OBR),” tambah beliau.  

Menurut Hew Yen Chen, yang menjual nasi ayam dan mee wantan di Hentian Sebelah Nilai (Arah Selatan), “Bersempena dengan bulan Ramadan, kami berasa gembira untuk menyediakan pelanggan lebuh raya dengan hidangan istimewa kami, nasi ayam dan mee wantan yang panas dan sangat menyelerakan untuk anda nikmati ketika berbuka puasa.”

Sementara itu, menurut Norhasidah Sahal yang mengendalikan kedai serbaneka di R&R Pagoh (Arah Utara) berkata, “Kami menjemput pelanggan untuk singgah ke R&R kami semasa perjalanan anda di lebuh raya untuk membantu serta menyokong perniagaan kami dengan membeli produk tempatan. Terdapat pilihan produk makanan tempatan yang disediakan seperti pelbagai jenis kerepek dan makanan tradisional sama ada sebagai cenderamata atau bekalan makanan di sepanjang perjalanan anda.” 

“Pelanggan lebuh raya juga mempunyai pilihan untuk menikmati makanan di ruang medan selera di R&R atau membawa pulang makanan dengan menggunakan fungsi Pra-Pesanan yang terdapat di 21 R&R terpilih. Anda boleh membuat pesanan lebih awal dengan lebih mudah dan selesa melalui Aplikasi PLUS. Anda boleh memuat turun Aplikasi PLUS secara percuma untuk mendapatkan maklumat lanjut dan tawaran Pra-Pesanan makanan,” jelas Syed.
