OVER 1,000 PLUS PERSONNEL PARTICIPATED IN ROAD SAFETY COMMUNITY PROJECTS

CSR DAY_NewOver 1,000 PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) personnel took part in the Company's annual community flagship programme known as, "PLUS Community Day 2017" that was simultaneously held in 25 different location nationwide today.

PLUS Managing Director, Datuk Azman Ismail said, "As the theme for 2017 is road safety, our personnel were on the ground undertaking various activities with the community such as road safety talks; installing road safety signage and devices; exhibitions and quizzes; installing and fixing bridge rails as well as handrails at staircases; fire drills and demonstrations; mural paintings; maintaining electrical wires; building a covered waiting area in school areas; painting road lines; and we contributed safety jackets to motorcyclists and so on."

CSR Day_2017_bPLUS has been dedicating a special day for PLUS and its staff to organise community programs at various locations each year since 2013. It is also one of the few programs held to help those in need and to give back to the community.

"PLUS is committed to continuously organized such events in the future for not only does it allow us to provide a helping hand to our communities and increase the awareness of road safety, but it also encourages volunteerism and teamwork amongst PLUS employees," added Azman.

PLUS had spent RM 54 million since 2005 to organized their Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) program. Among them are the Back-to-School Program, Road Safety Campaign, and other community service-based program held all over the country.


LEBIH 1,000 KAKITANGAN PLUS JAYAKAN PROGRAM KOMUNITI BERTERASKAN KESELAMATAN JALAN RAYA

Lebih daripada 1,000 warga kerja PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) menjayakan program kemasyarakatan tahunan syarikat ini, iaitu "Hari Komuniti PLUS 2017", yang dijalankan di 25 lokasi secara serentak di seluruh negara hari ini.

Pengarah Urusan PLUS, Datuk Azman Ismail berkata, "Dengan tema keselamatan jalan raya, kakitangan syarikat kami turun padang menjalankan pelbagai program komuniti seperti ceramah keselamatan jalan raya, memasang papan tanda dan peralatan keselamatan jalan raya, pameran dan kuiz keselamatan jalan raya, memasang/membaiki penghadang jambatan, memasang pemegang 'railing' tangga, latihan dan demonstrasi kebakaran, cara pengunaan pemadam api, menghasilkan mural keselamatan, membaik pulih pendawaian elektrik, membina tempat menunggu berbumbung di kawasan sekolah, mengecat garisan penanda jalan, sumbangan jaket keselamatan kepada penunggang motosikal dan lain-lain lagi."

PLUS telah memperuntukkan satu hari khusus setiap tahun sejak 2013 untuk PLUS dan kakitangannya menjalankan pelbagai program kemasyarakatan di pelbagai lokasi di seluruh negara. Program ini juga merupakan satu daripada langkah syarikat ini untuk membantu mereka yang memerlukan dan menyumbang semula kepada masyarakat.

"PLUS secara berterusan akan menganjurkan program seumpama ini serta bersama dengan masyarakat bagi mendidik dan meningkatkan kesedaran orang ramai dalam menjadikan jalan raya lebih selamat untuk semua. Selain itu, program ini turut bertujuan menggalakkan budaya sukarelawan dan menanamkan semangat berpasukan di kalangan warga kerja syarikat ini," tambah Azman.

Dalam pada itu, PLUS telah membelanjakan sebanyak RM54 juta sejak tahun 2005 untuk melaksanakan pelbagai program Tanggungjawab Sosial Korporat (CSR). Antaranya adalah Program Kembali ke Sekolah, Kempen Keselamatan Jalan Raya dan pelbagai program berteraskan komuniti di seluruh negara.
